Airfield Compliance Inspections & Audits / AGL Systems Compliance Audits – ICAO / EASA / FAA.
- Carry out on-site or desktop audit to review compliance of AGL processes and systems with the requirements of International standards or elements of the standards.
- Prior to the implementation of new AGL Systems it is incumbent on the responsible authority to consider the risks around the introduction of new systems and ensure that the intended system responds to the standards of safety and quality required. As in any airport AGL Systems can be complex in nature and their safe integration with other systems is critical to ensure reliable and secure airside operations.
- TM3 will produce a full safety case report and compliance audit.
- Preparation of AGL System designs to meet the requirements of both International and national standards for Cat I through to Cat IIIb. This includes Runway Lighting and Taxiway Lighting layouts plus Taxiway Guidance Signs. Additionally, AGL System control design for SMGCS or including the implementation of Individual Lamp Control and Monitoring systems for A-SMGCS guidance systems.
- AGL systems require high integrity, reliability, and availability to meet the requirements of a safety critical system. To achieve these key principles, well designed systems have resilience features incorporated as part of the AGL System design. Airfield Substations are a key element in the AGL system resilience and their design in terms of layout, type of CCR used and back-up power supply system implemented are key to achieving high availability.
- Management of project activities & outputs including the development of implementation and phasing program. Co-ordination of progress meetings with contractors and airport stakeholders.
- Facilitation of Design Workshops and Design Reviews with Contractors. Review of project documentation including design specifications, testing documents and Operation and Maintenance manuals.
- Work alongside contractors during testing and commissioning phases to complete Integration Testing, Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing.
- Compliance Reporting
- Preparation of details for pre-qualification questionnaire and the authoring of documents for inclusion in statutory tendering requirements i.e. OJEC.
- Production of User Requirement specifications along with pricing schedules and Bill of Quantities.
- Organisation of the tendering process including site visits and the answering of technical queries related to the scope of works and practical implementation.
- Technical evaluation of tender returns for compliance along with innovation, using specifically developed scoring matrix.
- Costs analysis of tenders to ensure that value for money is achieved.
- Management of Internal Workshops to agree Technical Specification and Contractual Details.
- Preparation of details for pre-qualification questionnaire and the authoring of documents
- AGL Systems require regular maintenance by well trained, competent individuals to maintain the system and equipment in premium condition. This maintenance work needs to be done to documented procedures which satisfy the airports Aerodrome Manual, and these procedures and policies are the responsibility of the airfield engineering teams for their production.
